This year's workshop focus will be to demonstrate through a combination of research, successful projects and Fatherhood/Parenting initiatives that father involvement is and will continue to be a pivotal component of successful child development. In addition, the conference will recognize up to 50 fathers, nominated by children (ages 7-17) who have been influenced by significant men in their lives. This year, the top 3 essays will receive A BRAND NEW LAPTOP COMPUTER! This year's Fatherhood Conference will be an event to remember in Baltimore, MD. Our 2009 celebration recognizes that next year will be the 100 Year Anniversary of the Father's Day holiday in America! There are too many Fathers who forget what a privilege is to be the father of a child. In 2009, our Father's Day Conference strives to salute and encourage existing fathers, advise and assist new fathers, and RE-DEFINE what Fatherhood and Father's Day means. It's time to honor and encourage men across the globe for their efforts and constant striving. And for men who have yet to achieve their parental goals, we salute you for taking the responsibility & steps to your new future. Together, all fathers at the conference will take a pledge together to work with others and with their families to reconnect, rebuild, restore, and reawaken the passion to serve our families and communities!
