MAN UP-FILM BRIEF, Directed by: Tonia Grady, GradyGirl Productions
The sole purpose of Man-Up: The Documentary is to shed light on a problem plaguing our society that is so detrimental to the very core of our existence; Fatherlessness is a crippling disease that will only further cement itself into the moral fabric of our consciousness, unless we tackle it head-on and explore its cause and effects. It stresses the importance of coming together and finding a viable solution to better the
futures of fatherless children.

JOURNEYMAN- FILM BRIEF, Directed by: Kevin Obsatz & Charlie Borden, Mirrorman Films
Journeyman is a film about the ‘Boys Crisis’ and has a story that includes mentoring, rites of passage, and male culture. The film shows why so many boys are hurting, and some unusual approaches that are reaching at risk boys. What's unusual about Journeyman’s perspective is that it finds how men are
involved in a repeat cycle of abandonment which is leaving more and more boys without a picture of positive manhood. It does this in through a story that is uplifting and completely true.

FATHER FIGURE-FILM BRIEF, Directed by: Eleanor Earl, Hampton University
"Father Figure,” which began as a play written by Eleanor Earl and Odetta Wright, was conceived during their undergraduate years at the University of Virginia. The play, and the documentary it inspired, explores the ways in which women’s lives are affected by a present and absent fathers. The lasting
effects greatly influence the choices of men women date/marry. They also determine how women relate to men- their ability to communicate effectively, etc.; and they directly shape a woman’s self image. Women of varying races, ages and economical statuses are represented through film, monologues, poetry, dance, and song. "Father Figure" is a journey towards understanding who and what a “father figure” is, and how he impacts the lives of all women.
